This five-day tour works the Wet Tropics of Far North Queensland in pursuit of all 13 endemic bird species, from a private Daintree River cruise for great-billed heron and little kingfisher, to Cape Tribulation’s rainforest boardwalks for southern cassowary, Mount Lewis for Victoria’s riflebird, and the Atherton Tablelands for golden bowerbird and tooth-billed bowerbird. 

Two nights are spent at Kingfisher Park Birdwatchers Lodge in Julatten and two at Chambers Wildlife Lodge on the Tablelands, with the loop covering coastal rainforest, upland forest, tropical savannah and wetland habitat, plus optional evening spotlighting for possums and Lumholtz’s tree-kangaroo.
